Definition - a human between the stages of birth and puberty; otherwise known as a person younger than the age of majority; a son or daughter of any age; offspring.
Nowhere do any of these definitions describe the emotions that come with having children. The lows and the highs of their lives that we are allowed to be a part of are not included in definitions. The tears of sorrow and joy that are shed alone or with them are not taken into consideration when defining them. The agonizing nights spent nursing a sick child, the hoarse throat from cheering them on in their chosen sport, the swelling of pride in your chest when they come home with a high grade or score, the peace felt as they lie sleeping safely in their beds at night, the worry when they don't come home on time and so many other emotions just don't get defined. How could they be?
Children are our greatest gift and as such, they need to be taken care of to the best of our ability. We are bombarded with so much as adults, imagine how much children are exposed to through the media and other means. We believe that it is important to share what we feel is important and whatever may help parents take better care of their children.
We welcome your inputs as well!
